Not true, a warm charge is actualy easier to ignite. The power gains are from the density increase, and the reduction in charge temperatures also reduces the chances of detonation.

Or it means there not as good as the OEM airbox... and actually suck more air in than cold. They do not lower power output bu having too cool air though! Unless your trying to say cars are slowest on cold days
