To start off in a noob at netowrks etc, so please forgive me.

The router i have is this one: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=NW-076-BE&groupid=46&catid=1453&subcat=1459

Belkin F5D5231-4
Virgin(cable) broadband
2 Xp pc's
I purchased it a couple of years ago and it has been fine up untill a few months ago. What happens is that the internet disconnects for mere seconds. This means that internet browsing and instant messenger is unaffected, however i get disconnected form online gaming. This happens pretty much every 5 minutes. I've googled it as there does seem to be a generic problem with the router. From my searches all the advice i can find is "buy a different router, as it may not be suited for cable broadband". I don't think this is a problem with the age of the router, since one person had this problem since new, i also don't think it's a problem with cable broadband, since this router is in the cable broadband section of overclockers. Your help would be much apprectiated :)
