got a laptop coming in the next couple of days and was just wondering if its possible to have interent on the laptop that is provicded from my pc which is connected through a router?

the reason from the pc is because i can't put another cable up into my room from the router. the laptop will have wireless something but would prefer wired.

if not having a interent can i get a way of just connecting the laptop and pc to share files, would the network cable do this if unplugged from the router and pc one end and laptopt the other?

were you drunk when you wrote that paragraph?

It is possible to attatch your laptop to the pc through wired and get the internet on at the same time as the pc but requires configuration on both laptop and desktop.

The PC will need 2 network cards. One to the router as it is now and a second one to the new laptop. Setup Internet Connection Sharing on the PC and you can then use the internet on both.

would this work the other way around? say you connect your laptop via wireless then use a cabled connection to share internet with the desktop? Would that work?
