I climbed the local mountain here in Stirling (Scotland) called Dumyat. Took some photographs and here are some of the best. C & C welcome.

I'm no photography expert but No. 2 strikes me as being far too HDR'd. It almost hurts my eyes to look at the grass.

I would definitely tend to agree with you there. I had a friend with me as I was processing them and he somehow persuaded me to go overkill :D.

they are really sharp, PP to get it that sharp or just good focus with good lens?

No sharpening done at all. Only thing I have done is crop one (slightly) and process them all using Photomatix. It's a Nikon D80 with the 18-135mm kit lens which is a fantastic lens!

3 looks fantastic to me (I'd like to see a bigger one), though the rock seems to want to be a bit more to the right in my eyes. 1 I like too, apart from the fence going to the centre of the picture (rule of thirds here?) and I agree that 2 is too overdone.

3 is awesome! Not sure on 1. 2 is OK. Would be interested to see the untouched versions too?

3 is awsome do you have full size as this would make a great background. Infact blow it up to poster size and i'd have it in my lounge

Thanks for all the comments guys. Buzzby, The Angel and Alex - Click the "My Flickr" link in my sig for larger pic ;)

EDIT: Anyone know how I can make it so that the photographs in my first post are clickable to the corresponding photo on my Flickr?

EDIT2: Got it. For those interested. It is [url = URL OF PHOTO PAGE]

Thanks.

#1 & #3 are great, especially #1, but #2 has too much HDR for it to be good, it looks fake and forced.

Keep up the good work!

I must agree with people on here, 1 is Good, 2 I really do not like, 3 now that is a cracking shot. Keep up the good work.

You didnt happen to take a number 3 (not weird toilet humour! :p) in front of that little statue/monument type thing did you?

The sky just looks amazing and i cant help but feel im missing out by that blocking it. Apologies, its probably a monument of some importance to someone, and im not disrespecting that but i love the atmosphere youve captured and just want to crane my head around that thing and see the whole vista.
