Interesting Day...

Sounds exactly like our old IT technicians. A mate of mine once used net send to send a message around the whole school (he didn't even mean it to go to the whole domain :D) the next minute she comes bursting into the room in anger making out that he's caused havoc.

Serves you right to be honest. The emotional and social damage you must have done to poor Carl and Lucy is unbelievable. What for you is a joke is to them incredibly embarrassing. Put yourself in Carl's shoes - how would you like all your friends, and even those who aren't your friends, mocking you due to this email? Exactly

You should have killed them with your special bullying keyboard.

Seriously though that's pretty insane. Way way way over the top. Hope it works out well for you dude.

Also why is it that while head teachers can be relatively nice and understanding, deputy heads are always either on a power trip or just plain nasty and unreasonable?

That's what I've found anyway.

I hope thats sarcasm :p

I personally think its hillarious. My Sixth form tutor used to tell me and a friend of mine that no university would allow us to do a course focusing on games. Guess what we are studying at Lincoln?

They think that being over the top helps, but its more patronising than anything.

LOL this is hilarious. Reminds me of my old school's IT department, totally over reacted to everything. I once swapped the keys round on a keyboard and forgot to switch them back :p They said I'd broke the keyboard and had to buy a new one! I promptly switched the keys back and handed it back!

That's way OTT of them, and if you teacher is constantly putting you down like that then I'd report it.

My day was very interesting, I helped the manager demonstrate to the weekday staff how to lift boxes and push rails.

In my old school we had the 'green room', basically most of the troublesome students stayed down there for most of their lessons. I don't think they actually learned anything afaik, but it kept them from disturbing other lessons.

This kind of thing (i.e. cyber bullying) ruins peoples lives...
When I see the BBC news website talking about another teenager committing suicide, I will know who to blame. If I were you, I'd leave the country now while I still could

Reminds me when I showed my mate how to use net send to send a message to every computer in the school (net send *), we weren't even suppost to be able to run exe files let alone open a command prompt so we were already breaking rules. About a minute later the tech guys stormed in the room by which time we had logged off, they asked us if anyone was logged on the computer it was sent from, we just said we didn't know, we heard nothing more.

I was in school in the 90s and we never had computers to use with our own set of logons or anything, we had a few computers the whole school shared and that was a big sec school too!

You kids today have it lucky but then again back in my day we did proper stuff like people getting tied to goal posts or buried in the sandpuit or peeing in someone shoes during PE or swapping people trousers during PE and so on!

I don't like your name, *e-punches*

fnar.

It depends how your retorts are worded. You sound like you could be a right cocky little **** and if so I'd make an example of you. Otherwise, I always thought it was good to have a bit of fun at school, isn't that what it's all about?

At the school i work in they smear **** all over the walls of the toilets

The IT department consists of 4 nerds who collectively know less than me about computers

The female English teachers are all fit as **** though :D

lol it wass just fooling around and they went way oer the top! However,it does sound like you were been rude, even if they were been idiots!

Surely it would make more sense to send Carl & Lucy to the "Coast" room

Am sure eventually it will all be worked out

Thats so over the top i cant believe it. The college im in at the moment are quite relaxed with ICT stuff sometimes.. me and a group of friends were using lantoucher or something to chat (like msn) to one another, but we were using the "send to all" option which sends the messages to everyone on the same IP ranges in the network (which we wernt aware of at the time)... and some people doing "important exams on the network" were recieving our messages which were just abuse to one another...all they did was ban us from the network for 10 mins and told us not to use the program any more...
