Interesting factoids?

Well, I got the QI fact book (amongst other things) for christmas, so I have exactly 1339 factoids that I could give you. However, I will just leave you with the fact that one in seven UK banknotes contain traces of anal bacteria.

Huuuuuh? What about.... er... vegetables?

I think he saying that a vegetable whilst on the plant is a form of life
and therefore when you remove it from the plant you have 'killed' it (this can be seen from his grass example for milk).

The factoid is still flawed though because bees don't live on air, so if you say milk doesn't count because cows need to eat grass then surely you have to apply to same rule to honey and bees eating pollen (pollen would presumably have to be treated the same as picking a vegetable from its plant).

algae culture can net a per area unit yield of oil 7-31 times greater than the next best crop, palm oil (Dermibas, 2011).
