Hi,

Well I've decided to splash out and buy some games on both the GC and DS to keep me entertained during those boring daytimes at uni!

I'd love any recomendations on what gamecube games to get baring in mind I am at uni and most of my mates do like playing mariokart so another mulitplayer game would be appropriate, I'd also like something i could play myself when there is nothing to do. So far ive narrowed it down to these:

Mario party 5,6,7?
Super Smash Brothers
Metroid 1,2?
one or two of the Resident evils
Pikimin

I have no idea which mario party is the best, super smash brothers looks pretty good and can be had for pretty cheap nowadays! Would it be better to go straight into metriod 2 or play the original even though both are the same price and as ive never played any of the RE's before, would playing number 1 be the logical step?

I also have my DS which i use a lot when I'm at home, I've already got advance wars, mario kart and sonic all of which Ive finnished. From the games out all that really appeals to me is mario 64 (moreso as i never played the 64 version) the mario and luigi RPG and maybe castlevania (but this seems quite hard to get hold of for a decent price)

So really if anyone could shed light on what they deem to be the most time consuming and interesting games on these platforms, please do so :D

when it comes to mario party, 5 is by far the best. and can be had fairly cheap now! Super Smash Brothers is also brilliant!

Super Mario Sunshine should be on your list, as should Luigis Mansion.

As for a time consuming game on the DS, a couple spring to mind!

Bomberman is insanely addictive and really easy to pick up and play.

Battles of Prince Of Persia has had my attention for the last few days. Yes, its a turn based game using cards, but for some reason i can't really put it down!
