Just bumped into an interesting Kickstart project, Instant 3D.
A brave claim from Gene Dolgoff is that it will convert any source into proper 3D, be it consoles, PC, movies, live TV. An even better claim is that it will provide that 3D content to any 2D or 3D TV.
What is Instant 3D then?
It will be a box that takes the input and does some electrical magic to output 3D.
Gene Dolgoff is pretty much responsible for pioneering holographic printing, digital cinema projections, 3D TV + Cinema and US HDTV standards. He also came up with the Star Trek TNG Holodeck.
