Interesting Kickstarter

A highly advanced GPS computer that displays the data that cyclists need in a beautiful, modern and analog design.
Except is doesn't show power, which is the only data that cyclists actually need.

Speed data is useless - I don't have it on any of my Garmin screens.

Yeah. Not for me or anyone that is serious about cycling I imagine.

Strange perspective. Lots of people who are serious about cycling just enjoy spending their cash as it pleases them. With that attitude no-one would be needing Dura-Ace, Super Record, Zipps or any bike over £1K. No-one would be buying Rapha or any other top brand positioned item.

If what you really mean is 'That's not for me because I can't afford it or just don't like the look of it' then fair enough. But it's nonsense to say that anyone who buys one isn't serious about cycling.

Think i'll stick with my Garmin, digital is much clearer to read.

I disagree, because you dont actually read the numbers. How many times do you look at an analogue watch/clock and have to read the numbers? Even when there are no numbers on them you can still read them easily.
It would be the same with this. Once you've learnt where the numbers are, you just need a quick glance to check the angle of the dial to see your speed. Much easier than a digital readout.

Still, it's not for me. The fixation on speed seems wrong. Sometimes I want to know speed, sometimes heart rate, power, time of day, zones, etc. A digital display with customisable values seems much better to me. It's also a digital computer driving an analogue UI - if there is massive demand for that, then garmin could probably add an analogue display with a simple software update.

A clear display and more data (e.g. power as already mentioned) options than this has are far more useful for a serious cyclist.

This device simply presents less data in a less useful way. The only reason to purchase would be because you think it looks pretty. Which is fine (I made some of the purchase decisions when building my bike partially on looks) but if the device costs more than other devices that do a better job of the same thing it's not going to get my money.

If you have a way to input power then sure. Speed data isn't useless, I always have it on my Garmins.

I actually like seeing speed data too (despite also having a PM) so I wouldn't describe it as useless for me. For someone training seriously most of the time you just want to see power though really.
