Hey guys

Just came across this passive CPU Cooler.

This looks quite interesting.

Here are two images of the product fitted.

What do you all think?

they should put the outer fins on bearings, then you could stick a hamster in it, would certainly look good with a window in the side panel.

Looks like it's designed for a side intake fan if you ask me. Interesting design if it's real - maybe RAM clearance issues.. :)

 thats enormous! Any idea of the weight? I imagine thats why there is a gaping hole in the middle, fins coming further towards the centre would add another 25% in mass

I can't see how it could work?
As said above, there must be ram clearance problems?

You're screwed if your mobo has any reasonable sized cooling on the chipset/vrms also...
Good times putting all that weight on the motherboard though.

I would like to see some results if it is real, certainly looks interesting.

Woah that thing is gargantuan! Space will be a problem no doubt, will be interested to see some thermal results.

Looks a bit like a car air filter but made of metal rather than paper.

Quite pretty I think but does seem to block the first 3 PCI-E slots so would render it pretty useless for me.

If they'd designed it with a flat bottom edge it might be more useful but I suppose it would lose it's looks then.

It'd probably transfer heat better if they had the heatpipes run through the aluminium plates rather than just getting soldered to their edges. More heatpipes would be better too.

You could get a really deep fan in the middle of that thing.

Looks ridiculous, would be interested to see how useful it actually is. I can't imagine those 2 sample systems above would stress it at all!

Would love to see an active cooled version aswell, with a massive fan :p

Wow designer needs shooting tbh covers pci slots and the ram bad bad design flaws. Hamster idea might not be too bad get it to power your pc ;)
