Thats marketing propoganda.

I'm sure the recent Crysis tech engine video didn't look that good.(http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=17702507)

Well thats good, means it will be easier to run :D

If I did not care about graphics I would not of bought an 8800GTS, I would have waited untill lower range 8 series comes out and buy an 8300....

I played Doom3 just ebcause the graphics were awsome, but I do like good gameplay and good graphics.

I can enjoy games when there not 100% silky smooth, but it gets annoying when I cant play game silky smooth with my current graphics card, but that will all be sorted in june :D

i dont complain about that

but to enjoy a game it must be silky smooth.. and if its not you cant enjoy it imo, simple as that.

well if thats the case what are you crying about, turns setting down till runs silky smooth, have fun. simple really

Ok here's something to try:

Load up Quake3. Put it on MAX settings.
Now Load up Quake4. Put it on MEDIUM settings.

Now, which is the better looking?

Until people start judging games based on how they actually look, rather than on whatever the setting is called in the menu, there's really no hope of people reaching a logical conclusion.

I've got a gf8 and I'd imagine it's highly unlikely I'll be running Crysis on anything above Medium settings (although obviously I'll have to wait and see). What's more, I'll likely be extremely happy because in all probability, medium settings on Crysis will blow 'very high' settings on Cryengine/Source/Doom3 engines out of the water.
