Thought of something last night to possibly overcome my boredom and that of others who are fed up with their mains and the easyness of WOTLK. Looked through the WOTLK thread and seems quite a few people looking to start over from level 1 and do something different.

With Patch 3.2 you have the ability to turn off your xp, meaning you can pretty much force your account into being a classic account, then a tbc account etc etc. I miss those good old classic AQ40 raiding days and BWL.

The idea
It involves making a guild (server and faction to be agreed) and sticking to pre tbc content only, at least until it has been done to death and we have nothing else to do, then we would upgrade to TBC content.

I dont have time to be guild leader due to my work commitments, but i would be happy to set one up and then pass the leadership on to someone capable of managing it well.

Requirements

1/ You must turn your xp off at 60
2/ You cant not take your professions over 300
3/ You can not use TBC gear or enchants
4/ You can not go through the dark portal to Outland
5/ No Draenei, Belf or DK allowed
6/ Max 41 point talents

If this interests you then please post here stating which faction you would prefer, type of server and class/race (i would rather it be one of the newer realms like Saurfang).

If doing classic raiding at level 60 for the forseable future doesnt interest you, please stay away. Last time i tried to do this, it started well but then peeps just started thinking of their e-peens and wanting to level to 80.

Im keen for this to stay casual, i have not got the time to pile hours and hours every night into the game anymore, hence why i left my main.

I will start off :-

Server: PVE (non rp)
Faction: Alliance
Race: Human
Class: Paladin (tank or dps)

Ultimately, as long as i can tank or dps, im not that bothered if its Horde either :p

41 point talents it is then!

Yes i realise it will be a bit easier due to the "casualification" of the game, but it will still be good retro stuff.

if you dont lock your xp, you will level and therefore not be level 60 ;)

and therefore the raid would not be a classic raid, as your char stats would be higher than it should be had the expansions not been released.

where is the challenge in doing an instance at 80 when the required level is 60?

no offence, but that takes little skill at all and is totally pointless except for the achievement.

the whole point of being a vanilla raiding guild is you are trying to get as close as possible under the current game mechanics to vanilla raiding, and that is done at level 60 with <300 professions.

some of you need to read patch notes, you can turn off AND on your xp at any point.

turning off your xp at 60 does not mean your character will forever be level 60.
