Guys, what software do you use to design a GUI.

I'm looking to design something similar to that pictured below

you'll be pushed to find something free that can do everything thats on the image. Your best bet would be photoshop. But there are a few others such as fireworks that could do it. you should be able to get a 30 day trial to have a play.
 
It really depends if you're designing a web page or a piece of software.

Photoshop will be useful for a web page.

But if you want to do that in your software you're going to have to wait until Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) in Vista hits the shop shelves.
 
I'm suprised no one has mentioned Macromedia Flash or Macromedia Director. Both vey frustrating to learn, but often used for interface/cdrom/dvd interface design.

Director's quite fiddly iirc. Basic Flash is quite straight forward though - and basic Flash would get you a working nav like Oracle's.
