intergrate windows to ubuntu

hi i followed many tutorials how to do this and god i made soo many mistakes and i still cant make it work after spending like 1 mounth on it. i was wondering any one did it and like to provide a GOOD guide pleaseee, ty

i using ubuntu 8.04 and some guides i followed was done in 7.1, should i use a older version?
