Hi, I have an intermittent fault with my main pc.
Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3R
Q8300
OCZ pc2 6400 Ram 4Gig
ATI HD2600XT
Corsair HX520 PSU
OCZ Vertex 2 120 GB main drive
7x other normal hdd
Win 7
Not overclocked.

PC seems like it put itself in to standby, leave the power light on the front of case no HHD activity light, switches the monitor to standby, the only way I can get the PC to work again is to switch off and on, I cannot make this fault happen.
Have changed the GPU and CPU and re-installed Win 7.
There are no error codes or BSOD.
The fault can happen once a day or once a week!!

If anyone has any help or advice that would be great.

Thanks in-advance..

Run mem test to check your ram for any problems and possibly run Prime to check for stability.

Try altering suspend mode in bios to S1 if it is set to S3. enable power on by mouse double click and keyboard press.

Out of interest have you gone into control panel then to the power options and disabled the sleep option. You can specify your own power settings.

If this doesn't resolve the issue adjusting settings in the bios may help but will be fiddly as it's an intermitant fault so you won't know if the change has fixed the fault straight away.
