Intermittent PC freezing when playing video

Hello all, I'm having a very annoying issue and finding it difficult to pinpoint how to fix it/what's causing it.

Whenever I'm playing video, usually playing web browser videos, my whole system will freeze and this lasts about 2 minutes then unfreezes. event logger does not show anything during this period.

I've recently reinstalled windows 7 on an ssd and my hardware is as follows

i5 using igpu
8gb memory

Using default bios profiles.

Any ideas of how I can solve this issue would be much appreciated

Try a diffrent browser , update browser plugins.

It's happened in VLC and while playing games too forgot to mention. I'm at the point of thinking it's a hardware issue and building a new system.

Could be the igpu, try updating the drivers otherwise can you get access to a gpu ?
