Intermittent problem with my 550D

Hello gents. Wondered if any if you can help out. My 550d is playing up. It first became apparent when I was in Disney land with the kids. What a time to play up. I was so cheesed off. I treat this thing like a newborn baby. Never dropped or mistreated it. When I turn it on, I can see the display digits through the view finder, and the lens motors, flash work, but the screen doesn't come on and it won't take a picture. I've tried different memory cards, battery's and lenses and its still the same so it must be the body. Its intermittent. Works perfectly fine one day, then broken the next.

Any clues anyone??
