This has been going on for some time, and I've really no idea where to start.
When I re-start the computer from cold or from sleep, on about 75% of occasions it will power on, but not go through POST. The disk will whirr, then stop. The fan is on.
Other times, it'll start fine. When it doesn't start, I have to power off the mains for several seconds, and try again, when it will usually, but not always start.
Can anyone suggest anything? What information would be useful?
