Internal cable won't reach!

I've just spent the weekend helping a mate to put a new system together and we've come across a slightly annoying problem.

Because he is running his hard drives from an add on card the internal wiring in the case which goes to the hard drive LED connector won't reach as its too far away (about 15cm too far to be exact).

Does anyone know if its possible to get an extension of some kind, or can anyone suggest any way around this?

Is a hdd led really that important to him?
Its not vital


If he really does want it you could cut the cable, and extend it with some other cable of a similar size

Thats what I thought.

Actually we can get the cable to reach either to the power LED or the hard drive LED but unfortunately not both.

I think probably that the hard drive LED might be more useful as at least it tells you something is happening. Its obvious when the system is turned on, so maybe its better to lose the power LED?
