I'm just finishing up a new system build and am trying to tidy up the internal cabling a bit. I'm not trying to be too clever about it; all I want is not to have to negotiate my way past a three platefuls of spaghetti in order to do something like change the graphics card or add an extra hard disk.

I'm using an Antec 900/2 case, and being able to route most of the cables behind the motherboard mounting panel has been a great help. I'm left with two cables that aren't long enough to do either this or route around the motherboard, meaning that they cut across the middle of the motherboard and potentially get in the way. One I can, and will, solve with the aid of this but the other I'm struggling with.

What I can't find is an extension cable for the 10-pin front panel audio connector. On the Asus P6TD the socket for this is located in the furthest possible corner of the motherboard, and I need an extension of around 30cm or so to allow the cable to reach it more tidily. I read somewhere that a 10-pin internal USB extension cable would do the job as the connectors are the same, but I can't find any of those from UK suppliers either. The closest I've found was a 4/5 pin internal USB extension cable, but that was on a well-known auction site and I really don't want to go down that route.

Has anyone got any bright ideas?

Its stupid where they put the front panel connector imo.I ran mine under the mobo between the standoffs.Would this work for you?

I had an issue with all the front panel connectors on my 3D Aurora being too short to connect to my MSI P45 Platinum.

I got specially made up cables from pcpartsandcables

It seems I underestimated the designers of the 900/2. While trying out game4it's suggestion, I noticed an additional hole in the motherboard mounting panel that I hadn't seen before, which allowed me to route the front panel audio cable diagonally across the back of that panel to just reach the socket. Thanks anyway for the suggestions.
