this motherboards is possibly the worse purchase of my life; no headers and can't get my ram beyond 1067 regardless what I press in the BIOS.

You need to disable PEBKAC in the BIOS.

well it does have 1 usb header for 2 usb ports on 16, but did they ever work? Not sure why you initially plugged into the ROG port 15 perhaps has that shorted something as its not keyed for polarity
