Internal Mic?

I remember with my old computer i had some sort of internal mic which recorded the sounds coming out from the speakers i think. I used it to send sound clips of various songs to my friends on Windows Live Messenger, now i have my new pc, specs in my sig, and i cant seem to record anything.. It is becuase the motherboard doesnt support this function?

is your mic plugged in.. most people who think they have internal mic have one in there moniter (hp's did this with there pavillion ect) either that or was in the speakers either way it had to be a plugged in mic somewhere i would have thought

hes talking about recording sounds played on the computer not recording sounds made by him or anything outside, as to the question - dunno

my Audigy 2 has a "what you will hear" section to record from.

Just uses the output as an imput if that makes sense?

Yeh, thats what i need, it worked with my old pc's onbuilt sound.
But not with my DS3

Since the motherboard doesnt have a mic but does have onboard sound, you must connect the two.
