Guys.

I wonder if anybody can help me.

I have a Philips Freevents laptop which has an internal Microphone but it does not look as though it is installed.

I think it is driver related but the Philips web site is useless and I cannot find what I need.

Anybody give me any help on how to resolve this?

Cheers :)

YEah the freevents are a bit odd, they are not really Phillips, they are rebadged by the purple shirts.

Check The Tech Guys website for drivers.

Yeah, they're not the best. I've not had any problems with it but I'm not buying from them again (due to the amount of **** that they add-on to them!)

I've had a look on the Tech Guys web site but there's that much to choose and the microphone isn't really listed.

How can I find out what type is installed so that I can try and locate the correct drivers?

Well if memory serves they have Intel chipsets. Does sound playback alright?

Sound plays fine but then when you look to see if there are any recording devices installed in the Control Panel it just states that nothing is installed.

I have tried searching for new hardware but it doesn't pick up that anything 'new' has been added.
