Hi all,

We are currently using Dameware 3.48.0.0 to remotely access our 60 sites.

Currently looking in to some alternatives. Can anyone recommend any products?

Why would you want an alternative out of interest. Dameware is absolutely awesome ?

logmein has lots of derivatives..

personally i use hamachi & realvnc to manage pc's that i make for people (i set both to non auto start, then when i need to do work, i get them to turn them on and create a new temporary network) works for me, but it's not ideal for corporate use tbh

Logmein is web based tho, so the security team would have issues with it

PC Anywhere? That's still very good and has tons of features (security, dialup, etc.)

You could use VNC or a varient if cost is an issue.

Microsoft SMS is another good one - but may be over the top for you as it does a lot with software distribution and inventoring on top.

Netop user here. It's got some good features, file transfer, auditing etc etc. We use it to remote control 4000+ PCs in our organisation.

If cost is an issue then VNC would be my second choice although it can be a tad on the slow side in my experience.

If you have 60 sites then you are obviously a fairly big organisation, I would seriously consider putting a plan together for an upgrade to Dameware, its a flawless product as far as I have seen.

It would be about 3k for us to upgrade. I need to make a justification as to why we need it, but cant seem to find many differences in the versions

Its probably mainly security related but also you would get continued support from them should you encounter any issues. They also offer other products too which they might bundle you in with.

If you are happy with the current version, can you not just stick with that ?

We could do, but change is good!

We use IntelliAdmin at our place ... simply enter the PC name, ip, or click BROWSE and select the PC, user doesnt even know you've logged on ... if your user account has admin rights on the target pc, it will auto load, if not it will prompt your for an admin account on the target pc
