going to wait for new i mac but can anyone tell me the minimum ideal size needed to run the OS as i intend to run the rest of the work with external stirage.

I would say no lower than 64GB. What is it you going to be doing on it?

Nothing more than surfing the net and using the photos app,i do have a lot of photos and plan on a lot more but basically thats it

For organising i much prefer it to LR,i use LR ialong with Affinity photo to edit but catolguing yes photos suits me fine
