So I went there yesterday, and paid £11 to get in, I was thinking it was pretty expensive. But I can honestly say it was well worth it. I took some photos, which I want to share with you. Enjoy!

If you can go there, do it now! :)

They had over 250 birds, all which you do not see often, and they are lovely and some ugly creatures! Some were in cages, and some were in the open. Plus they have 3 flight shows a day, all different, I only had time to see the morning show, but there were 2 more going on after that too. So plenty to see!

I will be honest, and I didn't really know what settings to use, plus I was using a kit lens, and also the telephoto lens that came with the camera, I think some of the photos came out not too bad though.

Here are some of the birds that I took:

Thanks for looking. :)

Great photos! Always enjoy taking pictures of birds (the winged type too). Really like the last one :) Composite panorama?

In nice sunshine, most people would stay under 400 ISO tbh
55-250mm, even on that lens you shouldn't have needed so much ISO

The idea is, as little as you can manage, but as much as is needed.

Keep to TV mode for sports/moving things so you can control the desired effect - 1/250 and lower to capture motion, 1/500 and above to freeze the action. Other times stick with AV priority and just keep to to the lowest ISO you can whilst keeping a decent shutter speed.

Hi 5UB, Thanks for posting this i took the lady there today did a handling experience was really good day. I took my compact though should have taken the dslr maybe even if its really old and a rubbish lens.

Will try find some of the good shots that i might of got from my xz-2.
