International data sims

I am thinking of getting one of these

and a 3GB preloaded data sim -

When traveling abroad, is there a data sim that can be used to pick up all networks or will the 3 one above work?

Can other data sims be purchased similar to the above in other countries?

I use a SIM from Maxroam - really great wee virtual network operator that is simple to use and not too hard to pay. Great coverage too.
