Internet access

Hi I am going on holiday to sardinia and the villa has no internet access. I want to be able to connect my macbook pro to the internet. What are my options and what hardware will I need. I have an italian sim card with the company Wind. If any one has any ideas that would be great.

your going on holiday, leave your computer behind. If you desperately need to check emails, use an internet cafe.

You mite find someone has a open wireless network ?

Or go into mobile phone shop, explain you want to use the net while on holiday on your Mobile phone, if you like there price, tether the phone to your laptop.

Given how horrendous data roaming charges are, that's probably not a good idea. You'd be better off getting an Italian mobile broadband dongle or using a tethering package on your Wind phone, if the phone and the network is capable of that. Don't expect it to be fast if you're not in an urban area, though.
