hi I have bt broadband option 3 with unlimited download. I've finished my contract and considering changing isp.
they have capped my internet from peak times to like 15kb d/l. when I phoned they started to read out the fair useage policy to me... they sed pass few months had been excessive download of 100gig my hd is only 300gig and I only have like 50% full so I dont think I've downlaoded 100gig for like a few months or my hd will be maxed unless streaming kills a lot of gigs. anyone know a way to get the capped removed? I've had the capped for like pass 6 months. they stated they removed it once before but I was excessive again. is there any isp that do provide unlimited or are they all fair useage policy.

thanks.

be www.bethere.co.uk have unlimited usage and it is unlimited, i was with them and never had any complaints and im a medium to heavy user over 100gb's each month

all i will say it check roughly ( as the crow flies) how far away from the exchange u are cus if ya miles and miles away then ya not gonna get near the 24mb speed by going here>> www.dslzoneuk.net/distance.php

At least BT told you you were capped, they denied they were capping me.

I was getting the same rubbish speeds and mine didn't even go off at midnight until I called them a couple of times.

thanks for the replies.
bt emailed me back and stated they might be a problem with my line. which is bs cause everytime I call them they test it and its fine..

guess I'll move to bethere!

Best to let them take a look at it if they think there's a problem, if you switch over to bethere without being certain your line is fine then the problem could still persist, and you'd be back to square one
