Internet connection at 6kbs when i should be on 8mb???

Some reason it has slowed to a crawl, rebooted modem, still the same, it was fine the other day. Anyone else having this problem with Pipex near Herefordshire area?

Phone pipex and get them to reset your IP profile?

well i live just over the hill in Malvern and am on Pipex and speeds have been terrible the last few days. Seem to have picked up now though, almost back to normal.

Do you guys think a broken router can cause this problem?

I've had this router for 5 years, it never failed me, was fine last Friday, went away for the weekend and back today the connection was crap.

Pipex won't reset my ip profile until i did the www.speedtester.bt.com thing for 6 times in 24 hours. Done 2 now and got 5kb and 2kbs for them..which is a joke. Changed microfilter, tried plugging the wire straight into the "spare" socket in the wall behind the front plate and it made no difference.
