Internet Connection Sharing in Kububtu???

Is there any way I can share an internet connection from a Kubuntu machine with either another Kubuntu machine via a crossover cable or a windows machine via a Wireless connection.
My primary machine boots Kubuntu and Windows XP but I am fed up of having to keep rebooting the computer into windows to let my mum or my mate use the internet on their machines.
any help please?

TBH it's usually easier and more convenient to use a dedicated router for network connection sharing, however the following page has instructions and a script to do what you want to do:

tis much easier indeed but sadly not an option for me atm.

thanks for the help, will give it a go when im in Linux next

(edit: been looking at some of the routers here and im considering buying one. anybody have an idea of a cheapish one that doesn't require a seperate modem. wireless preferably)
