Internet Connectivity Problem

Hi guys,

Hoping you can help me solve a little problem.

I have got a desktop pc, connected to the internet through a wire that goes into a wall.

i might buy a laptop but i want to use the laptop from my bed.

so what would i have to buy to get the internet on my laptop. i want the connection mostly for computer games so under no condition would i comprimise the connection to my pc. i will only be using one connex at a time.

would i need to buy a wireless bluetooth dongle for my pc so the lappy could find it?

help plz

are you on broadband?
is it adsl or cable
who is your isp

now if you are on broadband then a wireless router would be your best bet tbh its faster than any other wireless now depending on adsl or cable depends what router to get

but if your only using 1 connection at a time get a wire long enough to reach your bed?

Is your place networked? If cable (e.g. Cat5e) is connecting direct to the PC from the wall i.e. no modem/router in-between than most likely your building is networked.

For that maybe a Wireless Cable Router like this. Though recommend more research

Are you at Uni or something monster_munch? That could explain the "port in a wall" system like they have in halls of residence.

Easy now,

I am using a CAT5 into the wall. I am in a block of luxery flats (their words not mine) and my isp is ASK4. My ping is like 5 on servers to counterstrike so it's RATE FAST! lolz
