I have had this issue with a D-link router; now with a netgear DG834 i still get it but instead of having to restart the router i only have to keep clicking on a link for it to come up; otherwise Mozilla just says "cannot display web page". Strangely if i open up another Mozilla the internet works fine. I am using avast and windows 7 firewall.

I have swapped a new ADSL filter some time ago and am using the BT i-plate. Should i get a new filter; if so is a Belkin branded one better or would any non-branded one do? What else can i try; my ISP tell me nothing is wrong down there end. Thanks

Is the router losing sync? Post the stats.

I doubt it has anything to do with the line/hardware if opening up a new browser instance cures it.

I remember something about my ISP saying syncing issues; i think that was why i had to upgrade from my D-link to netgear; since its adsl+2 as is there exchange. How would i resolve this then / what stats should i post; thanks

Is your router connected to the BT master socket? Do you have any extensions connected to the master socket? Are all of your phones, sky box etc filtered using micro filters?
