Internet Disconections?

Im with Be* been having problems for ages and ages but now its just getting too bad to use the internet properly, in the evenings when I use the internet I get at least one disconnection every 1 hour and times such as now I have been connected and disconnected about 50 times in the past hour.

I am convinced this is a line fault and nothing to do with Be* as I was having exactly the same problems when I was on 512k Broadband with Tesco, but the last time I rang BT and they did a test on my line they said everything was fine.

So what can I do?
 
With Be you can change your line profile, have you tried this? Can be done i *** members area some where

Hi, I'm having the same problem with Be and I've raised a ticket with them several times about this issue but they keep telling me to check my filters, plug the router in the master socket etc - stuff that I've already tried. I even told them, they seem to just ignore what I've tried and reply with their script.

I think the problem is starting to happen a lot more now with Be and not just your line, when I go onto the forums there seems to be a lot of this and speed problems occuring lately and they can't provide a suitable answer.

Very dodgy indeed.

I have just raised yet another support ticket, I told them in the original message that I have my router plugged into the master socket and have replaced the filter. I also told them that I have done 17070 option2 and there is no noise on the line.

They replied back with this:

Dear **********

Thank you for contacting us. We are sorry to hear you are having problems with the connection. Unfortunately we are unable to see any disconnection on our side. Please try connecting to the test socket( located behind the face plate of the main socket) change the ADSL micro filter, Change the DSL cable. Dial 17070 option2 to perform the quiet line test with BT. Listen for any noise on the line. If there are noises you'll need to contact BT fo fix the vice line quality.

Please perform those steps and update us with the result.

I notice they say they cannot see any disconnections at there side. Surely they can see every time I connect to there servers? Especially when I have up to 40 disconnections each day.

It really is starting to get on my nerves now especially in the evenings when I am playing online games and it disconnects. :(
 
ive had my plusnet connection doing this every so often. It will lose connection to the gateway but not lose line sync, its annoying but I have raised several tickets but they are just retarded, have tried everything, might as well go back to virgin

I think they are in denial of the problem at the moment. Usually Be are very good at informing customers of things going on at exchanges or maintenance on their network, but this time they don't seem to be. A lot of users are getting the same problems as well (across the UK), you only have to visit the main bethere forum to see. So something fishy is going on.

What makes me laugh is them saying to nearly everyone on the forum that it's their line and not Be at all. How can so many users all have the same problem all of a sudden and it not be Be?

Another thing as well that frustrates me, each time I update the ticket by replying to their idiotic responses, I can tell they are copy and pasting a scripted response, since on one reply there was a format issue when they pasted it.

God only knows what's going on at the moment, either they have a huge issue with their network or they are going under. Either way it certainly doesn't seem very promising.
 
Having similar issues (also Be), was fine until a month or so back but getting worse and worse. Tonight it's making xbox live unusable :(
