Internet disconnects every hour on the hour

Hey guys, looking for some advice here... Recently upgraded to VM 50mb with their 'super' hub and ive been getting disconnected every single hour exactly on the hour! The lights on the hub stay on and everyone else has internet connection throughout so it appears to just be me who loses it. It only goes off for about a minute and then comes back on, but its crazily annoying when you're playing games etc. Any ideas as to what it could be? I'm wired btw, not wireless.

I've had this, years ago, on a Linksys router. But I never worked out how to fix it. I think it resolved itself.

Phone virgin up & ask them, they might be checking to see how stable your new line is by doing various test so they can set it to its best stable speed
