Internet disconnects everytime someone calls me or I make a call out?

I'm with Eclipse and it used to be only occasionally, but now everytime I receive a call or make a call out using my BT line, I get disconnected.

Any ideas as to why this is doing this and how to resolve it?

It will be your microfilters, either they are setup incorrectly or it/they have had it.

Make sure all filters are in at the wall sockets - a friend had this last week, hes dad unplugged the filter so everytime some one called it d/c you.

Definately a dodgey or broken filter. Dont forget that every socket in the house needs one even if it not used.

It isn't necessarily dodgy or no filters either, though they make a good starting point.

Had it happen to me and many others before.

If the fone is causing interferance/disconnecting the net the it must be the filters not doing there job properly.

Borrow some filters off a mate change them all over and i would put good money on it the problem will go away

If not then naturally i will eat the humble pie........

It might be. It needn't necessarily be.

You don't need filters on unused sockets either.

So far so good, although i've been at my Dad's 60th tonight. All went well.

Anyway, will post back my results at the end of next week.

Ah, sorry, completely forgot about this thread.

Yeah, it sorted it out perfectly. Switched the filter in my room and added one to the one on my downstairs telephone line.
