Internet Exlororer - Not working?

Hi there,

For some reason Internet Explorer just isn't working for me. I have it opened but it won'tload any pages and just shows a blank screen.

I have checked and it isn't blocked on the firewall?

Anyone else have this problem?

I can use Firefox and Opera fine.

Are you at work? Do you have an intranet? If so then can you access that at all?
Has a proxy server been set in explorer?
Tools > Internet Options > Connections > LAN Settings

Installed any new software lately?

I am at home so no intranet.

Latest software installed is peer guardian.

I can't even get to the settings of IE so I can't check if there are proxy settings.

Ah, never realised there was a problem with accessing menu's too.

Well....try closing all apps, and then clicking Start > Run
and type in "sfc /scannow"
That just scans all system files and replaces any broken/corrupted ones.

Let us know if that makes a difference
