Internet Explorer 10 RTM Benchmarked

Improved Javascript performance, nothing else worth mentioning.

The best GPU acceleration around, by far.
More secure.
Better HTML5 support.
Integrated and touch-friendly Flash Player (its no longer a plugin and more secure).
Syncs settings and bookmarks on Win 8 (although this is a Win 8 feature, not the browser).

One thing they dont test is GPU acceleration, which even IE9 is still better than other browsers at. IE10 improves it further and because of full GPU acceleration, even on text and static images, IE10 often feels much smoother. This will be a big benefit on some tablets with slow CPU's, i can imagine Chrome and FF lagging when scrolling on busy sites or dealing with complex animations.

And i wish these people wouldn't use Googles V8 benchmark, it's obviously going to be bias towards Chrome.

IE 9 is a very capable browser, the truth is it's actually very good, but was let down by a total lack of regular updates - the problem with every browser ms has release to date.

FF/Chrome were way behind IE 9s gpu acceleration etc at lunch but have received regular updates consistently improving them and more importantly, security update within a day or two not waiting a week (or several) for windows update. Until ms fix that many people will simply avoid it.

Yeah, Chrome has shown the way forward in my opinion. They should decouple it from the monthly cycle especially if they're rolling Flash into it.

And to be honest, I couldn't care less about benchmarks. As long as it is subjectively quick, which they all are these days, they can bicker among themselves about who's graphs are bigger or smaller.
