Internet Explorer 7 RC1 released

Just a word of warning to Logitech SetPoint users out there, uninstalling IE7 BETA will wipe your setpoint settings, I do not now why or how but this has happened when I updated to BETA3 and now RC1 as well! it is very strange! - I have a lot of custom menus on my logitech keyboard set and also custom buttons on my MX1000 so was quite annoyed but luckily from the last time it happened I saved screenshots of each custom menu so I knew what to put back to what button :)

Also it looks like this RC1 release fixes the disk cleanup entry !

Will this run in parallel with my existing IE?

No. You must reboot after unistalling old version and after installing new version too but IE7 is nice and fast once all done.

Looks good so far. Memory usage is still good.. 14mb vs Firefox 20mb for same webpage open :)

Still going to keep both on the system though.

One thing that im having a problem with is the text is blurry/not sharp compared to my firefox, im guessing its not meant to be like this anyone know how i can adjust it to make the text sharp?

Is RC1 a proper release or just a beta?

The final stages of testing before release, most of the big bugs have been fixed. Sometimes goes to RC2 if some more bugs are found before the final release.

It's because Clear Type is on by default in IE7. Not sure how you turn it off, but I'd hazard it's in the options somewhere.
