Internet Explorer 7/Vista Premium Problem…

Hey guys,

I went round my mates tonight to see his new Dell PC.

He was having a few broadband connectivity problems with his Speedtouch modem – sorted it out by installing the Vista driver from the Speedtouch website

The real problem came when I came to close IE after downloading the driver…

When you close IE, you are warned that ‘IE has stopped working.’ Then an IE prompt restarts IE. What’s going on?

This happens EVERYTIME you close a working IE window?

The computer is only 10 days old

Any ideas?

Was it happening before you installed the new driver?

If Vista has a recovery function from the disk, do that.

It was doing from day 1, from what he can remember - I take it its bad news then

Recovery disks out already...

I might head over to Microsoft and see if the Knowledge Base has anything on it yet?
