It's certainly fast. The UI annoys me though. The tabs and address bar are crammed onto one row, whilst there's acres of empty space above them that's just being wasted. I know you can move the tabs onto a new row, but that doesn't address the wasted space. Why not tabs in the titlebar like every other modern browser?

That is the issue with software I guess, its a bit like marmite. Me, personally, I hate the why Chrome has the tabs in the titlebar, where as I quite like IE9 beta set up how it is. The only thing I don't like is the favourites where it is, I prefer it much like IE8, on the left of the window... Also why can't they do a go to address when you highlight a webaddress rather than just the standard search via <choosen search engine>.

Quite like this, webpages load more quickly than IE8, unfortunately can't get my "favourites" over to the righthand side, so that I just have to click on double arrows to select the one I want...

Just trying it out now. Had to put the tabs on a seperate row, way too cramped without it. Can't select just 2nd home page either from the home button only opens up both pages when you press it.

Also the favourites on the right hand side seems annoying. Apart from that it seems quite good.

It's certainly an ugly UI for a browser, even though I never use IE I was sick a little bit in my mouth.

One problem with IE9 RC is that they have now removed the InPrivate filterling lists. It has been replaced with the Tracking Protection List. But this means the InPrivate Filter List which used to work as an adblocker no longer works. However, I see EasyPrivacy list is officially supported.

So, can we expect someone in this forums who is familiar with these things to implement a similar list for EasyList?

I've noticed some odd text rendering issues around Windows after installing the RC, the same happened with the BETA and I recall others here having noticed the same too. Sidebar Widgets on the desktop, for example, will look like as if the text is not running on cleartype, some widgets like Top Process will do odd things like appear invisible too.

Uninstalling IE9 brought everything back to normal.

If the final has the same bug I just won't bother updating to IE9.

I'm on a dual screen setup btw with a GTX460 and latest Forceware and all things up to date running SP1 RTM. This issue happened pre-sp1 as well.

Maybe you have some trouble reading subsequent posts!

Nobody was sick anywhere :p

Plus, I couldn't find the super speediness over other browsers people were mentioning, yes it is fast but it's no faster than Chrome or FF. I found all 3 browsers loaded the same pages at roughly the same speed.

I'll probably install it with an auto update then use it once and leave it alone. Nothing beats FF even though I've tried using Chrome for couple of months but at the end I went back to FF.
