It's actually for a Mac, Panther OS

A friend of mine accidentally cleared the history in IE, is there anyway of recovery it?

The problem is that his gf, silly girl that she is, uses history as a way of remembering websites, and not bookmarking. And he has cleared it so now all her research for her uni project has gone.

So, I am asking the wise people here, is there a way of recovering the history ?

Dunno if its the same on a Mac but IE on Windows also stores webhistory in index.dat which I believe is not affected by the "Delete History" option.
There are a couple of downloads to read them (again on Windows) which you can google for.
Alternatively you may get help in the Linux/OSX forum just beneath this one ;)

1. How about "Big Brother", he's watching you! Why not ask him or write to:
10 Downing Street, London. :)

2. I don't know if it could in the protected part of the recycle bin in Norton AV under protected files? It has normal protected recycle bin and further protected files? Just a chance.

Personally I'd stick to option 1.
