Im moving into a 6room house in a couple of month for 2nd year uni...

was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for service providers to go for..

Internet? TV.. thing is we want sky sports and non of these other packages besides sky seem to do sky sports.. so we seem knackered there...

Anyways not sure what speed we can get yet.. think its 5mb in Jesmond but not exactly sure...

the thing you got to understand about enta resellers are they offer quality service and running of entas network means you get nothing but the best.

Here is there link to their products page http://www.titan-adsl.co.uk/index-2.html there web site is not v good but there service is A* also backed by a minimum 1 month contract and no cancelation charges.

You will find that most resellers these days have some form of limits on the ADSL connections these days.

Either through physical limits like 30GB peak / 300GB off peak or some form of packet shaping technology which will slow down traffic according to their rules.

Basically it depends on how much you want to pay for your download. I have to say that 30GB/300GB limit that I'm on never been a problem for me. If you schedule your downloads and uploads for that matter to your off peak time you shouldn't be any where near to using 30GB peak time.

you work for them don't you the_box :)

saying that I'll look into them for when I move, think I'll leave IDNet the download limits are too low for 3 people.

Go for Virgin (Telewest) Broadband in Jesmond, 20MB broadband and it does appear to choke much due to the amount of people using. Nearly everyone in Jesmond has Virgin Broadband.

no i dont work for them, i wish i did maybe they would give me free broadband :D no just happy with the support i have recieved so far. And the £5 off for my first month which came in the post the following day.

IF you go ADSL yes you will have to pay line rental. If you go Virgin Media (cable) you can just have the connection, but they can also provide the digital TV and with that you can get Sky Sports.

with ntl you are commited to a 12 month contract where with enta resellers such as TitanADSL, ADSL24 ect ect you are only in a 1 month contract and are free to migrate after 1 month no cacelation charges either.

but you will be paying more considering the 20 mbit upgrade still is in process by late summer it will be finished + you would be paying around £6 more.

How much, out of interest, does Be cost then? Assuming of course he can get the full speed, along with it being unlimited, with the cost of line rental etc?

Just interested for next year. Virgin give me a landline (unlimited landline calls), the XL tv package and 20Mbit for £36.95/mth. They rang up and offered me iot the other day so silly to say no. Especially when the broadband was costing me ~£37. Odd that they shaved money off and gave me more :D
