Well Im with o2 access at the minute (the best I can get) and 6meg is my quoted speed.
Now with the supplied router (o2 wireless box - rebranded thompson speedtouch) I can connect fine to the internet I will get easily 6000KBit/s
with a latency of 30-32ms
However I regularly get disconnected, mainly in the mornings. I am also having trouble getting this to work with the PS3, I have tried opening ports and even DMZ'ding the PS3 but it still disconnects in games, saying it looses connection to the host.
I have since brought a DG843GT netgear. I have replaced the o2 router with this one. It will connect fine and sync at the same speed (7616kbs) with the same line stats as the o2 box. The problem I'm having is when (I think) turn on anything that connects to the router wirelessly the speeds drop and the latency goes well into the hundreds. The connection does not drop and I can still surf the net (slowly) I can also play the PS3 fine.
Currently my speed is:

I am now going to try to disable the wireless to see if this makes a difference, but would it?
Anyone had similar problems?
Thanks
