I'm on Sky Broadband, I rang them the other day to cancel because I'm not having this, then of course it started to speed up the day after they give me my MAC code.
What can it be? It's fine during the day, then for some reason after about 9 or 10pm it just slows to not even a crawl, I watched a programme on the iPlayer at 6pm, didn't even pause to stream once, now facebook is continually swirling, I clicked on 2 pictures, just tinypic ones that aren't 5cm square before I started this thread, and they're STILL loading, well over 3 minutes now, to load what? 4 or 5k?
Not really on that is it? Is there anything I can do? I've been restarting my router, trying it on other devices, sometimes it's better, sometimes not.
Sky said that the maximum speed I can get from the exchange is close to 2mb, this is nowhere near that. If I change ISP is it likely to make any difference whatsoever?
There used to be a link, *******.com/blz20 it was that Virgin always recommended when I was on them, it was a link to an Excel viewer from the Microsoft site and always downloaded at maximum speed, does anyone know any links like that? Them speed test things have never been all that reliable.
