For quite a while now ive been having problems with my internet disconnecting and i don't know whats causing it.

Ive tried:-

- Changing different wires on my router
- Changed Phoneline filter
- Updated to the latest firmware
- Turned it ON and OFF
- Reset it again
- Flushed the DNS settings

I dont have a spare router so i cant try that but im currently using a TP-Link N600 so maybe its just this router thats crap. I used to use a DG834GT when i was with my old ISP but it died then i went to a new ISP and i got a new router and thats when the problems started. Im guessing it could be the ISP or even the router.

Anything else i could try?

This is the router

Any noise on the line? Disconnect everything except a wired telephone and do a quiet line test. If there's anything there report it as a line fault (don't mention broadband).

Have You had your master socket moved? The reason my I ask is I had mine moved and when the Telephone engineer cut where it used to go in upstairs and installed a junction box to take the line straight down he used some old style connectors which were not very good and whenever it rained or was very windy my router would keep getting disconnected and the re- sync and after having Engineer out countless times I had one engineer that actually did his job right and ran some proper tests in the line and could see there were CRC errors and from that they can work out (with their tester) the distance to the problem ( from what he told me) ie from the router to filter or filter to telephone pole etc.

Nope, my house is only 3 years old so nothing has been changed.

What are the router line stats (SN Margin, line attenuation etc.)?

Is it definitely the broadband disconnecting and not a LAN issue? Can you still access the router when the connection is down?

It just goes off for about a minute or so, im connected to the PC using a wire

Upstream Downstream
Current Rate (Kbps) 1028 16340
Max Rate (Kbps) 1032 16984
SNR Margin (dB) 7.3 6
Line Attenuation (dB) 12.8 30.4
Errors (Pkts) 0 0
