Internet Local Only

so yesterday i had a problem with steam, it wouldnt update, im with talk talk btw so i went to restart my router and it came up with internet connected, local only. so now ive factory resetted my router and the same problem occurs. after awhile i changed a setting i cant remember and now it wont connect at all im sure all i have to do is reset my router but i will get the local only problem im sure, any idea why this happens?

Sounds to me like your 'Working Offline' in your browser mate.

Just open IE and click File -> Make sure 'Work Offline' is UNTICKED.

no its not that ive even tried resetting and reinstalling router no solution, whats the problem :S!!!!

'Working Offline' is nothing to do with the router mate.

Define local only for me please. Can you access any site at all? Can you ping anything? Can you tracert any site? Have you checked your router logs?

the "Local Only" is Vista telling you that it cannot see the internet.

Can you go into start -> run -> cmd, and paste us the output of "ipconfig"

also, "ping bbc.co.uk">
