Internet nostalgia

20 years since the internet's were born. What are some nostalgic websites/memories, I'll throw a few. Netscape navigator. Geocities. Tripod(think this is still going). Friends reunited. AOL messenger Mass scaremongering forwarded emails. Eudora mail. Windows NT.

It was a good time. Top voted ytmnds would cause a ripple effect of parodies some of which were better than the originals.

Some of the ones in that video still crack me up (like lol, 1920s, lol, sleep and the morse code one).

I remember getright, the browsers back then didn't support down resume. So if a download failed on your 33.6k you would have to restart it. Which meant hours wasted. Plus when you downloading your internet was unusable.

The Blaster worm, bit later but old enough, or maybe it was an earlier worm, remember if you reinstalled win98 the worm would be on your pc within about 5mins of connecting to net, sometimes right away, was rush to download kerio firewall in time, disconnect then install firewall. Many times had to clean the worm and try again.
