Looking to buy a camcorder very soon and like a £279 RRP Sony unit. However I have found a site selling it for £170 inc postage. I have never seen this site before so am little worried/concerned especially so far under RRP and other people selling (mainly £230 mark) so I've;

Checked Company House = Okay same details as website
Checked VAT reg number = Valid
Checked Domain Name = Different Address close by though
Phone them = Check and they seem fine but then again who knows..

So what else can I do to limit mishaps?

Would having a credit card complete cover me (including if i received the item but it was 2nd hand/damaged etc and they refused to take it back)?

Yes I know I could be over reacting but that's how I am, tight!

A credit card should offer you more protection that using a debit card, how much protection that is exactly I don't know, and I imagine that it varies by provider.
