Hi,
I am currently running XP / Vista on a dual boot. My main computer can access the internet fine in both Firefox and IE. However any program that uses different ports to access the internet (msn or iTunes) can not establish internet connections (I can't sign in to chat or download music on both) I have not tried other applications such as Steam or iRC yet I am sure they will act the same.
I have not installed any new firewall software and have tried turning off windows firewall and have tried a different network card in my computer, however the problem still remains.
I have also rebooted my router to its factory settings and still the problem persists.
I don't believe it to be hardware /drivers as I am on the internet in Firefox now typing this...
I have 2 other computers in my network (1 pc and 1 mac) and they both can uses applications like msn fine.
If anyone can shed any light on this problem I would be extremtly grateful...
Thanks in advance.
